Across the state

Mumbai, Pune and the rest of Maharashtra

Solar distributorship conversations differ by city and customer type. Partners know their own market best.

Mumbai metropolitan

Apartment societies, shops and small businesses asking about rooftop solar. Check the bill for the local DISCOM — BEST, Adani Electricity Mumbai or Tata Power Mumbai in many Mumbai areas.

Pune and industrial belts

Homes, warehouses and workshops around Pune, Pimpri-Chinchwad and nearby industrial corridors, where commercial rooftop solar is often relevant. SolarConnect’s team handles technical review and installation.

Interior cities and farms

Nagpur, Nashik, Aurangabad, Kolhapur and farming districts where agricultural solar such as solar pumps may apply. Most of these areas are served by MSEDCL; always confirm from the electricity bill.

Who does what

Clear roles for every Maharashtra customer

Customers deserve to know exactly who is responsible for each step.

WhoRole
Dealer / partnerFinds genuine local enquiries in Maharashtra, explains the broad stages honestly, prepares the customer file and stays the local point of contact.
SolarConnectReviews the file, discusses the site and requirement with the customer and installs with its own team, coordinated from the Serampore head office.
Pro Power EnergiesSolarConnect’s registered vendor partner for customers who choose PM Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana. SolarConnect is not itself a registered vendor.
The customer file

What to collect before handing over a lead

With the customer’s permission, a complete file usually includes:

  • Name, phone number and the full installation address.
  • A recent electricity bill showing the consumer number and the distribution company (in Maharashtra this is often MSEDCL outside Mumbai; in Mumbai it may be BEST, Adani Electricity Mumbai or Tata Power Mumbai — read it from the bill).
  • Property type and basic roof details, such as open area and any shade.
  • Clear roof or site photos, if the customer is comfortable sharing them.
  • Whether the customer is asking about PM Surya Ghar or a direct purchase.
  • The customer’s questions and preferred way to continue.

Collect only what is needed and handle personal data carefully. For how the pan-India partner workflow works, read how the pan-India dealership works, and apply on the Partner with Us page.

FAQ

Maharashtra dealer questions

Do I need my own installation crew to become a SolarConnect dealer in Maharashtra?

No. Dealers bring leads and customer files. SolarConnect's own team does the installation, supported by its partner Pro Power Energies.

Which electricity company covers a customer in Maharashtra?

Read it from the customer's electricity bill. Most of the state is served by MSEDCL (Mahavitaran). Parts of Mumbai are served by BEST, Adani Electricity Mumbai or Tata Power Mumbai. The rooftop solar and metering process follows that company's procedure.

What should a Maharashtra customer file contain?

With the customer's permission: name, phone number and full installation address; a recent electricity bill with consumer number and DISCOM name; property type and basic roof details; roof photos if the customer agrees; whether they want PM Surya Ghar or a direct purchase; and their questions.

Can PM Surya Ghar customers from Maharashtra be handled?

Yes, through SolarConnect's registered vendor partner Pro Power Energies. SolarConnect itself is not a registered PM Surya Ghar vendor, and dealers should never present themselves as one.

Is SolarConnect only for West Bengal, or does it work in Maharashtra?

SolarConnect is building a pan-India dealer network from its Serampore head office. Maharashtra enquiries — including Mumbai, Pune and other cities — are welcome through the partner page.

✔ SolarConnect works with every dealer under a written dealership agreement. Work starts only after a written dealership agreement is signed. All dealership terms are documented in writing; we do not rely on verbal promises. Payments are accepted only in the official company bank account of Techsr Enterprise (SolarConnect). Dealer role: A SolarConnect dealer's job is to collect B2C (home customer) files and send them to SolarConnect through their dedicated SolarConnect relationship manager. Dedicated relationship manager: SolarConnect staff guide every dealership so it runs properly. Each dealer gets an appointed relationship manager who is the main point of contact and coordinates the dealer’s work. No heavy investment: Dealers do not need to invest heavily with big brands, because SolarConnect has already made that investment. As a stockist, SolarConnect supplies solar materials and all required items. After-sales support: SolarConnect itself handles warranty support, net metering, subsidy and loan assistance for every customer, so dealers only need to collect and send customer files. PM Surya Ghar subsidy: SolarConnect handles the subsidy application for customers through our partner ProPower. Territory protection: Once an area has a SolarConnect dealer, we do not appoint another dealer in that area. Why registration: The dealership registration helps SolarConnect expand its network so rooftop solar can be installed in more areas.
